The European market has for many years been the centrepiece of HPW’s sales and its success has enabled us to grow into one of the leading providers of tropical dried fruits in Europe. Market expansion and increasing production capacities have moreover pushed our marketing efforts and widened our perspective.  New sales offices in the US and Eastern Europe illustrate this development. The result? More dried fruits from our West African factories in the retail shelves all over the world.  See for yourself!

New listings across the globe

Our uniform fruit quality, the proximity of our Swiss Office to the European customers and the smooth logistics between our African production sites and European ports have been important factors for continued growth. Growth driven by loyal long term customer relationships.  At the same time, the success of our business model has encouraged us to look out for further markets. New listings in far-away countries such as Japan or New  Zealand but also numerous Eastern European countries are the encouraging outcome of this.

The US market: a powerful new sales channel

One major market where our products have captured growing interest is the US. The outlook of making our African made snacks available for a consumer base of 320 million people has pushed our innovation efforts. The result has been pleasing: our dried fruit products can currently be purchased in more than 1000 stores all across the country and even in Canada. You will find our tropical mango pieces, pineapple rings, coconut chips, banana-coconut cubes and fruit bites in numerous flavours - unpreserved or in organic quality - in well-known retail stores such Whole Foods, Target and Wal-Mart.

Rising interest in Eastern Europe

The US market is however not the only place where dried fruits from Africa get increased attention. Our new sales office in Lithuania has succeeded in promoting our products all across Eastern Europe. 500 stores in Lithuania, 300 stores in Ukraine, 180 stores in Estonia and 100 stores in Latvia currently sell products from our African factories. We are very happy that especially our Tropicks snack range has found new customers there. “The Tropicks Fruit Rolls are our bestselling snack product here in Eastern Europe. The consumers like that they are made purely out of mango or pineapple with no additives, no sulphur or added sugar, which makes it ideal for kids ” states our Salesman Viktoras Perecas.
