The first Fairtrade Global Awards ceremony took place in Nairobi from October 3-5, where international Fairtrade partners were recognized for their outstanding commitment and innovative approaches to promoting social justice and sustainability in trade. HPW was awarded silver in the "Fairtrade Leader Award" category. We say thank you!

HPW Fresh & Dry Ltd. is Africa's largest producer of naturally dried mangoes, pineapples and coconuts. We source the fresh fruit from over 1,400 small farmers in and around Ghana. All workers employed in processing benefit from fair working conditions, including a Montessori crèche and daily meals on site. All fruit waste generated during processing is converted into energy, and the 1,800 tons of dried fruit produced annually are transported around the world exclusively by ship.

We would like to thank Fairtrade Max Havelaar and the jury for awarding us this distinction and thus recognizing the efforts we make every day to ensure that our production has as little impact on the climate as possible.
